Orange County EQUESTRIAN Photographer

Movement, Connection, Light.

There’s an unspoken understanding between horse and rider, shaped by trust, patience, and countless moments together. As a lifelong equestrian, I bring a personal appreciation for that connection to every session. Combining refined editorial portraits with natural, unscripted interactions, the experience is thoughtfully tailored to your horse’s individuality and the partnership you’ve built.

Fine-art equestrian portraiture, thoughtfully composed.

Frequently asked questions

Does my horse need to be well trained for a photography session?

Not at all. Every horse has its own personality & perfection is never the expectation. With years of experience around horses, I understand the importance of patience, reading their behavior and working at their pace. Sessions are thoughtfully guided with your horse's comfort and safety in mind, allowing genuine moments and natural connections to unfold.

What if I’m not comfortable posing in front of the camera?

You don’t need any modeling experience. I’ll guide you through natural movement, flattering poses, and subtle adjustments throughout your session. Whether you envision refined editorial portraits or candid moments with your horse, my approach combines gentle direction with documentary-style storytelling to create imagery that feels both elevated and authentically you.

Where do equestrian photography sessions take place?

Equestrian sessions can take place at your private barn, boarding facility, or a carefully selected outdoor location. Based in Irvine, I photograph horses and their people throughout Orange County, Southern California, and beyond.

We’ll discuss your vision and choose a setting that complements both your horse and the overall aesthetic of your session. Location permissions and any applicable permits are arranged in advance.

How should I prepare myself and my horse for our session?

Before your session, I’ll help you plan wardrobe, styling, and the details that bring your vision together. I recommend having your horse groomed, tack cleaned, and any desired accessories prepared ahead of time. Most importantly, allow yourself plenty of time so neither you nor your horse feels rushed. The goal is a relaxed, enjoyable experience that celebrates your connection.
